The Holy Spirit is God in us!

The Holy Spirit is in us living as one with us. God had promised in the Old Testament that “ I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people” (2 Corinthians 6:16 KJV). He promised to dwell in and walk in His people. Well, Ephesians 2:22 above tells us how God fulfills this promise: through His Spirit! He lives in us by His Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Presence and Power of God. Please note I did not write that He brings the presence of God. He is the Presence of God. As a matter of fact, the God or the Christ you believe lives inside of you is the Holy Spirit! When you received Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit came into you and became one with you. You have God’s Spirit immersed right in your being. This is why you are called a child of God! Your new nature carries God’s very nature!

Why is this important? If the Holy Spirit is in you, it means God’s Presence and Power already abide in your spirit man as part of you. This is the meaning of Colossians 2:10 that “ye are filled in Him”. The Holy Spirit in you is the fullness of God inside of you.

MEDITATE

If I am already filled with God’s fullness as Col. 2:10 says, why does Eph 3:19 say I should know the love of Christ so that I should be filled again with the fullness of God? Please take a moment and answer this vital question.

APPLY THE WORD

You were born into Christ with the fullness of God. The Lord wants you to step into the practical earthly experience of that fullness. Grow in your fellowship with the Spirit.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the fullness of the Spirit we have in Christ.

Keep growing
