Christ is in you

AuthorPatrick Oben
Published

“To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Col. 1:27 NKJ).

If Christ dwells in you, your life is bound to be glorious in every respect. The mystery of our relationship with God is our oneness with Christ. Christ, the man Jesus, is seated in heaven at the moment. So what do we mean when we say “Jesus is in my heart” or “Christ is in me”?

Christ is the fullness of God in the flesh, embodied in the Person of Jesus. The day you became born again, the Word of God came into you and the Spirit of God recreated your spirit and immersed or baptized you into Christ—that God-Man nature He carries. Christ, the nature of God as a man fulfilled in Jesus, now dwells inside of you. The Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, then comes and makes His abode inside of you to bring you into the full experience of the nature you carry. The Spirit then uses the Word of God you receive, which is Jesus, to fill your life and groom you to maturity, to the full measure of the stature of Christ in your daily living. Christ dwells in you through His nature that you share, His Spirit that dwells inside of you, and by His Word. You cannot be a failure with Christ dwelling in you. You are born to shine!

APPLY THE WORD

Each time you act on the Word, you are manifesting Christ in you. What will you do today at work or at home to manifest Christ within you?
