His Word was with Power

And they were astonished at his doctrine: for his Word was with power (Luke 4:32, KJV)

the word of Jesus is with power

When Jesus taught the people, they realized something was different about Him—His Word was with power. He did not teach them like the Scribes and other teachers in their days. In fact, on one occasion, the Pharisees sent officers to arrest  Jesus. When they got to the scene, they began listening to Him and went back without arresting Jesus. When asked why they did not, they said: “never man spake like this man”.

Jesus Himself said, “The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life” (John 6:63, ESV). His words are not ordinary. As a Man, He spoke like any other human being using His vocal cords to verbalize sound waves. However, in those natural words was spirit, the Spirit.  When He speaks, there is power in His words, the power of the Holy Spirit. This is why He speaks and things are created. When the dead hear His voice, they come out of their graves. The possessed heard His words and the demons fled.

His Word is with power. There is no other being in existence whose words are with power as the Creator. The most amazing truth in this is that He has put His words in our mouths, essentially making us like Himself,  by giving us the ability to speak words with power. Furthermore, the scriptures are His words inspired for us. That means you have a well of power that you can always draw from. You activate that power as you receive those words in your heart and believe them.

MEDITATE

Declare that “the Spirit of the Lord is upon me and I can speak words with power”

APPLY THE WORD

Where the Word of God is, there is power. You activate that power as you receive the Word and act upon it by faith. Take advantage of the power of God in the Word.

PRAY

Thank the Lord for the wonderful privilege to speak His words with power by His Spirit.

Keep growing
