Re-ignite meditation in your life

And Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide: and he lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming (Genesis 24:63, KJV)

Meditate your way to breakthrough!

The art of meditation is an “endangered species” at risk of extinction by  the current pace of ultramodern life. Children born today might never know what it means to be quiet without notifications from phones, iPads, noise from TV, etc. Life has changed, for the better and also for the worse.

Human creativity is unlocked by meditation. It might be interesting to note that the iPhones that these kids spend hours playing with were conceived and created by a man who understood the power of having a quiet time to think. Steve Jobs’ life is a lesson to remind us of the power of meditation. If these things are true with natural things, what about the things that pertain to God?

The scripture above says Isaac went into the field to meditate there. I will say that there are things you might never receive from God until you separate yourself from all the billion distractions and just spend some quiet time thinking with God. I teach and emphasize the importance of meditating on the Word but that is not what I am referring to here. The purpose of this devotional is to remind us that there are visions in your life, solutions to the crisis you are facing, the way out of that predicament or that business idea that will change your financial status forever, etc.,  that require you to take time  from the billion distractions around you to sit and think with God.

Re-ignite meditation in your life!

MEDITATE

The most important aspect of meditation remains the meditation on the Word of that. Nothing will provoke inspiration like the light of His Word. Meditate on the word above!

APPLY THE WORD

When was the last time you took the time just to sit down somewhere alone and think about what you need to do with the challenges you are facing? If you cannot remember, then life is keeping you too busy to have time to figure out the solutions to our problems! Do not let this happen! After your next devotional time, spend a few minutes and think about the ways out of any challenge you are facing. Make this a habit and see what happens!

PRAY

Ask the Lord to help you re-ignite meditation in all its aspects in your life.
